How Context Works

When you mention @Flare in a channel, Flare reads the last few messages in the conversation to maintain context. This allows natural back-and-forth dialogue.

Context Window

  • Free: Last 3 messages are included as context
  • Premium: Last 8 messages are included as context
Context is stored in volatile RAM and is permanently wiped after 5 minutes of inactivity. Flare does not maintain long-term conversation history.

System Prompt

Flare has a built-in system prompt that defines its personality (helpful, slightly witty, knowledgeable about Discord). This prompt cannot be overridden by users — jailbreak attempts are rejected.
