Flare isn’t just a lifeless command processor. With the Mention AI module, Flare acts as an intelligent, interactive member of your community. Built using cutting-edge LLMs (Large Language Models), Flare can hold context, answer questions, tell jokes, and even help troubleshoot server issues. To interact with Flare, simply mention the bot anywhere in the server:@Flare how do I set up VoiceMaster?
Why use Mention AI?
- Instant Support: Users can ask Flare how to use its own commands without having to read the docs.
- Engagement: Flare’s witty personality keeps chat active and entertaining.
- Context Aware: Flare remembers the last few messages in a conversation, allowing for natural back-and-forth dialogue.
Requirements
Mention AI is available to all servers, but Premium AI (which unlocks faster response times, higher rate limits, and access to advanced models) requires a Flare Premium subscription.
Configuration
Mention AI is enabled by default, but you can configure where Flare is allowed to talk.- Dashboard

- Navigate to Modules > AI.
- Toggle Mention AI on or off.
- Under Ignored Channels, add any serious or announcement channels where you don’t want Flare to respond to accidental mentions.

- Ensure the channel isn’t added to Flare’s ignored list (
/ignore list). - Ensure Flare has the
View ChannelandSend Messagespermissions. - You may be hitting the rate limit. Wait 60 seconds and try again.

Flare’s system prompt is heavily protected against prompt injection and jailbreak attempts. If your message resembles an attempt to override its core instructions, it will safely reject it.
