Overview

Flare’s AI module transforms the bot from a command processor into an interactive community member. There are two ways to interact with Flare’s AI:
  1. Mention AI — Mention @Flare in any channel to start a conversation.
  2. Ask Command — Use /ask <question> for a quick, one-shot answer.

Mention AI

Simply tag Flare in any message:
Flare will read your message, consider the context, and respond naturally. It remembers the last few messages for natural back-and-forth dialogue.
Mention AI is available to all servers. Premium servers get faster responses, higher rate limits, and access to advanced models.

Ask Command

For quick, one-shot questions:
Aliases: ai
Max Length: 200 characters

Rate Limits

Privacy

Flare does not store or log your messages. AI context is held temporarily in RAM and is wiped after 5 minutes of inactivity. No message data is ever sent to third parties beyond the AI model provider for processing.

Troubleshooting

Check that the channel isn’t ignored (/ignore list), and that Flare has View Channel and Send Messages permissions.
All AI API keys are rate-limited. During peak hours, the bot may temporarily run out of capacity. Try again in a few minutes.
